Jelajah Alam Liar Pulau Rinca

Foto: pemandangan ke sisi selatan dari ketinggian 122 mdpl. Perahu-perahu nelayan terombang-ambing tersapu angin. Sebagian orang terlihat sedang bersantai di beranda rumah. Menunggu para nelayan pulang melaut pun orang-orang yang datang dari pulau seberang. Membawa hasil tangkapannya semalam. Sementara yang lainnya sibuk mengambil ikan-ikan di perahu yang baru saja tiba. Pagi yang cukup cerah di kampung Lenteng. Sebuah kampung nelayan di bagian selatan Labuan Bajo yang menjadi incaran para investor.  Kampung Lenteng dulunya dikenal karena aksesnya yang terbatas. Kondisi jalannya yang rusak parah membuat orang akan berpikir berkali-kali jika ingin bertamasya ke sana. Tetapi kini kampung itu telah menjelma menjadi aset yang terbilang mahal. Sebab, banyak investor yang meliriknya setelah semuanya 'disulap' pada masa pemerintahan Jokowi. Masihkah warga lokal dapat mengakses pantainya di kemudian hari? Ataukah hanya menjadi seorang asing di tanahnya sendiri? Pertanyaan-pertanyaan it...

Komodo Herping & Birding Report

Photo: Blue Lesser Sunda White-lipped Pitviper  Overview   Komodo National Park is not only popular because of Komodo Dragon as the only one living lizard in the world. Beside that, the island has at least 14 spesies of snakes which can be seen on Rinca, Padar and Komodo island and also more than 100 spesies of birds included Yellow-creasted Cockatoo and Flores Hawk Eagle which is categorised as critical endemic. Komodo Birding Report

Rusty-breasted Whistler/ Pachycephala fulvotincta Day 01: The day was so hot. I had to wait another hour until they arrived at the port. Last month, Yovie Jehabut (jagarimba.id) contacted me to join him in birding tour to Komodo for 2d/1n. I was so happy cause' it was my first experience went with him for birding in this island. Yovie asked me to wait them at the port. After they arrived, we went to the boat. He introduced me to Simon and Susan. They were from the United States and were with him for 11 days. They started their birding tour from Timor Island then Flores (Bajawa, Ruteng, Labuan Bajo & Komodo). Alvin Ebot as the driver who pick them up in Bajawa.  He also liked birding and was really passionate about it. It wasn't his first time to join a birding tour as he was with Yovie for several times.
