Sejam kemudian, saya bangun kembali dan melirik ponsel. Waktu menunjukkan pukul 07.15 dan saya pun bergegas merapikan tempat tidur. Menuju ke dapur untuk minum segelas air hangat. Kemudian mencuci muka, memanaskan mesin motor & menyiapkan perlengkapan birding (teropong & buku). Tepat pukul 07.40, saya berangkat dari rumah dan langsung menuju ke Wae Ces. Setelah berkendara 5 menit dari rumah, saya menyadari dompet saya tertinggal. Saya pun memutuskan kembali ke rumah untuk mengambilnya sebagai antisipasi jika ada masalah dengan motor dalam perjalanan. Saya tiba di Wae Ces, tepatnya pos penjagaan BKSDA pukul 08.00.
